Quiet yet deeply expressive, this one-person tea set brings together the luminous Onggi artistry of Shiheun Han and the poetic Buncheong sensibility of Jungwoo Kim.

At the center is a 100cc teapot by Shiheun Han, distinguished by its deep black surface and subtle brushwork that recalls rain settling softly into the earth beneath a starlit sky. Paired with a matching teacup and Jungwoo Kim’s scalloped petal plate with flowing vine motifs, the set creates a quiet balance between stillness and movement, refinement and spontaneity.

Each piece is individually wheel-thrown, hand-finished, and kiln-fired, carrying the warmth of the maker’s touch and the natural variations unique to handcrafted Korean ceramics.

Designed for intimate tea moments, this set is both a functional teaware ensemble and a collectible expression of contemporary Korean craft.

About the Artist

Shiheun Han redefines Onggi, the traditional Korean “breathing vessel,” by honoring its roots while experimenting with techniques from najeonchilgi, buncheong, and roof-tile firing. His brush-marked surfaces, often likened to gentle rain, transform utilitarian earthenware into contemporary art objects that bridge memory and modernity, offering collectors a rare union of tradition and innovation.

Jung-woo Kim is a ceramic artist dedicated to reviving the essence of Joseon-era Buncheong pottery. Inspired by nature, he meticulously studies and blends different types of clay to capture the raw energy of the earth in his works. His pottery reflects the bold and spontaneous spirit of traditional Korean artisans while carrying a unique contemporary sensibility.
