Part of the Quiet Strength in Clay series by Korean ceramic artist Jungwoo Kim, this Buncheong tray extends the collection’s quiet dignity into the tea table. Crafted with iron-rich clay and finished with a soft pale slip, its surface reveals subtle textures that resonate with the understated elegance of Buncheong ware.
When paired with the series’ tea cups, gaiwan, or pitcher, the tray creates a harmonious setting for tea rituals. About the Artist
Jung-woo Kim is a ceramic artist dedicated to reviving the essence of Joseon-era Buncheong pottery. Inspired by nature, he meticulously studies and blends different types of clay to capture the raw energy of the earth in his works. His pottery reflects the bold and spontaneous spirit of traditional Korean artisans while carrying a unique contemporary sensibility.
