This teacup, made by master potter Moongwangsoo, shares the same luminous glaze and grounding clay base as his moon jars. A gradient of deep indigo to emerald blue gently flows across its cylindrical form, reflecting light with a subtle mirror-like sheen. The rim carries a warm earthen tone — a quiet reminder of its origin in Korean soil.

Despite its small size, the cup holds presence. It invites a moment of stillness, a pause — not only for tea, but for appreciation. Whether paired with the matching moon jar or placed on its own, it brings balance and quiet strength to your space.

About the Artist

Moongwangsoo, known by his art name Baeksan, meaning “the mountain of white light”, has been a devoted ceramic artist since 1979. The name reflects both the clarity and quiet strength that define his work.

He is based in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province — a region deeply rooted in Korea’s ceramic tradition. There, he continues to create with focus and sincerity, earning high regard from fellow artisans and collectors alike.

His works are meditative in nature — marked by serene forms, subtle transitions of glaze, and a spiritual calm that transcends function. Through each vessel, Baeksan communicates not with words, but with light, stillness, and clay.
